The start of 2007 saw Lilygun entering a new phase...
Anna-Christina wasted no time. Once again rearranging the line-up and promoting the band in further mediums.

Though there were slight recording dilemmas, Lilygun unleashed a new demo in April that was closer to representing the bands sound than previous demos in the past. Recorded by Anna-Christina and Xplicit, the guitars sounded dark and edgy with soothing yet harsh and accusing vocals.

Within weeks of it's completion, the demo found its way onto several internet radio shows including Raiders Broadcast, Rivergibbs FM, Dandelion Radio, TotalRock and American based Church Of Girl Radio.
In fact, Lilygun's music was so popular by DJs that their songs were featured prominently on radio shows almost every day for months!

The band had a special mention and Sunlight Dream was aired on Damian's Helldrive show on TotalRock and by his recommendation Lilygun signed up for The TotalRock Unsigned Band Awards exposing them to a new audience.
Peace Of Mind was entered into the Alternative Rock/Metal category and was played on one of the world's most popular rock/metal radio stations, TotalRock Radio. Streamed from the TotalRock site, their special blend of Rock was aired in one of the weekly Awards radio programs so the band gathered even more fans from the worldwide TotalRock community.

In May Anna-Christina had her first live radio interview on The Oliver Hall Show on Raiderbroadcast.com. The charismatic singer proved popular and was invited back in November for another interview.

Lilygun was also spotted by Deborah Rees on The NME website for The NME Breaking New Bands 2007 and she made the them a featured artist with a brilliant write-up on her website at
safeconcerts.com predicting the band are set for very big things.
In June 2007 Lilygun were joined by a new drummer.

Due to the success of the rather unplanned acoustic set Lilygun performed at the end of 2006, the band decided to play more of these intimate gigs and introduce some new songs that had not been heard.

Sunlight Dream and Moonlight remained in the set as well as new song Diamonds, one of few songs written when Anna-Christina was in recovery. My Ways and Mind & Soul, taken from the 2005 demo and 2 other new songs made up an atmospheric, magical performance first played at Storm in Leicester Square in November 2007. Lilygun was joined on stage by special guest guitarist Aaron John.

The performance was recorded at the venue and due to the success of the evening, there was a high demand for Cds so the band decided to sell the complete live recording which made many very happy!

At this point in Lilygun's time, solo artist Aaron John was guest playing on lead guitar and it was not only a pleasure and necessity, since their present guitarist was reclaimed by Aliens and nowhere to be found but it also became a key ingredient in the development of Lilygun's sound of today. It's no secret that Lilygun have had many guitarists in it's time. Anna-Christina has tried every type and style of player but in all the years no one had actually changed the course of Lilygun or its sound to such an extent as this remarkable young musician. Aaron John's unparallel talent to invent, changed Lilygun forever. www.myspace.com/aaronjohnmusic

By November 2007, Lilygun were creeping into the media's attention and were reviewed on several music websites and had a demo review published in the Christmas issue of Devolution Magazine and later The Talk Magazine.

For the last few shows of the year, Lilygun devised a new set that would show how dynamic the songs are by playing a semi unplugged version of a few songs and spiraling into heavier, aggressive songs like Peace Of Mind. This proved to be a real test to perform but truly reflected the multifarious performance of Anna-Christina.
2007 was a very successful year for Lilygun.
With illness and excess waste being conquered, now all that was left was the world however...

In true Lilygun fashion the start of 2008 was chaotic and surprising!

Lilygun decided to cook up a magnanimous creation and recorded Diamonds at Zed One Studios in Camden with a rather special producer, David Ryder Prangley (of Rachel Stamp fame).
After a series of unfortunate events, Lilygun found themselves in the presence of a new drummer, the 5th! Drum nightmare in recording studio, turns into drum heaven. Mutual friend saves the day!
This recording was Lilygun's first single, self-released in March and went on to receive amazing reviews.

A string of gigs followed through the year with a new young talented guitarist including The Women In Music Festival in Birmingham, The Surface Unsigned Festival 2008 where the band once again received fantastic live reviews for three performances, The Carling Academy Bar with special guest drummer Belle and The Borderline supporting Die So Fluid and Mab in August.

Anna-Christina and lead guitarist
Adam Busiakiewicz aslo played a special acoustic show together. This time with only 2 acoustic guitars and 2 singers, the set was made up of some familiar songs like Moonlight and a new flamenco version of Peace Of Mind as well as an old song that some of you may remember from back in the day called "Sick Of You", a few other songs and a long awaited cover song from Hedwig And The Angry Inch. The set was completed with "Wicked Little Town" Hedwig's version, which Anna-Christina had been going on about doing for ages!

But there's more coming very soon...
