Since the face of the music industry is rapidly changing,
Playlist Research is now focused on helping webcasters and traditional
media find the best online music possible. Songs are listed under
the month they were discovered by Playlist Research and are not necessarily
new releases. Songs are not ranked, although top songs are the ones
Playlist Research believes have the best chance for widespread popularity.
The main criterion for selection is that the song must sound more
artistic than anything on mainstream radio in 2009. Lilygun's single
'Diamonds' was in it!

Lilygun's Music Being Sold Illegally!
I have recently been informed that
my music is being sold illegally by various websites, two in Russia,
two in America and others. I'm not allowed to mention the names of
these websites and in some ways it's kind of flattering but it has
really pissed me off!
First of all, I did not give them permission to use or sell any of
my music and was not notified by any of them that this was happening.
Actually, I only know about this from a fan, so when I investigated
further, I was shocked to see how many of these websites have stolen
Lilygun songs. Obviously this happens to loads of bands and I hope
the fans have the sense to buy music from official websites but it
doesn't change the fact this is so bloody rude and an ongoing issue
that musicians face today.
It's not about the money, it's about people trying to cash in on your
hard work and that's wrong. The PRS is on the case so hopefully they
can stop it but if anyone else comes across one of these websites
(not including PayLoadz.com) please let us know.
